NUESTRA HISTORIA

1991 – 1996

Aldor is founded in Cali by the Aljure – Dorronsoro family. It began its productive process with a capacity of 5 tons of lollipops and hard candies per day. The company starts exporting to Panama, Ecuador and Haiti and manages to enter new markets such as the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and the United States during these years. It also starts participating in international expos (Candy Expo, ISM, entre otras). Important investments in technology are made in the mid 90’s, acquiring modern equipment.

1997 – 2001

Aldor gets a larger market share. In the late 90’s, the company participates aggressively as an exhibitor in international expos, managing to sell its products to over 30 countries. Aldor acquires new production lines increasing its capacity to 50 Tons per day. Yogueta is launched in Colombia with the concept of yogurt flavor and soft filling.

2002 – 2006

Aldor begins the construction of a new production plant with an area of 28,000 m2. It also relaunches PIN POP, managing to enter the segment of gum filled lollipops. the company moves to the new plant site, increasing its production capacity by 50% and reaching a production of 160 tons per day. In June 2004, it launches PIN POP Transfer, managing to multiply Colombia sales by times 8. New product categories, such as sugarless gum, chewing gum and chewable candy, are created. 2007 – 2011

Aldor starts producing a new line of deposited candies, launching the BIAGI brand in two flavors: coffee and caramel. The caompany males the decision to have a Production Center in Johannesburg, South Africa with 2 lollipop lines that would produce 23 tons per day (470 tons per month). The company solidifies its position as lollipop leader in South Africa, with the Yogueta and PINPOP brands. It also acquires soft fruit candy brand most loved by all Colombians: Frunas, achieving leadership in that segment.

2012 – 2016

Aldor launches the gummy brand “PLAY”.  To strengthen the gummy business, Aldor procures the Trolli gummy brand in Colombia. It also starts the AJ Business Unit (an alliance between Johnson & Johnson and Aldor) to reach Traditional Channels directly. The company launches the following products in Colombia: Yogueta Cookies and Cream, Tropical Mix and Frunas Planas. In  2016, new markets were opened in Central America, Africa, and Europe.
